As you know, I shared here our 2012 Summer List of to-do items. One of the items on the list was a Skeeter's Game. We've actually already done that. Crossed it off...not that we wouldn't like to go again. Last Friday night we took some of the kids in our youth group. The Skeeters are an independent team that just came to Sugar Land, and it's a FUN park to go to. Tickets are cheap, and it's a fun family atmosphere. Since we had a decent size group of kids, we decided to buy the $8 tickets that allow you to sit on the hill in right field. We figured the kids would like to sit in a group, as opposed to sitting in one row of seats. It poured about two hours before the game, so we weren't even sure if we'd get to go, but the clouds parted for us, and it was a great night. The park has several awesome things for kids to do, one being a splash area. And you know that's where K wanted to hang out. As you can see in the pic, he didn't even let me get him changed before he ran right in.
I'm not sure if he had more fun playing in the water, or watching the other kids.
The baseball that poured water was right at his height, and perfect for him.
He hung out here most of the time. There was a pretty little girl, a little older than him, that was there too. At one point she tried to tell him something, and he leaned in to kiss her. I stopped him, but I think her parents thought it was cute. I hope this isn't foreshadowing of what's to come! :)
Here are some of the girls gathered around taking K's pics. He's quite popular with the ladies. ;)
They also have a carousal. And of course, some of the girls wanted to ride it with Kaden.
His Aunt Daisy held on tight while they rode.
He like it!
Some of the other girls... I think they almost thought they were too cool!
K had his first taste of cotton candy. He saw one of the kids eating it, and helped himself to a handful.
He also shared with Donnell.
Here's some of our girls. They found a bleacher over looking the pitchers that were warming up.
Being silly!
And since we went on a Friday night, there was a Fireworks show. It's a pretty good one too!
I didn't get too many pics, cause the noise scared K at first. But then, once he was cuddled up with mommy, I think he enjoyed it. We had a great time at the Skeeter's Game with our kiddos...all of them!
