Double Date

This past weekend our friends Taylor & Jay came into town from Nacogdoches. Friday night, we dropped Kaden off with the grandparents and headed off for double date.
We went to a place in Katy that has several things to do. We partook in the batting cages and putt putt. I didn't take my camera, cause I wanted to be able to just have fun and not worry about carrying it around. So these are all iPhone pics.
We got the unlimited Putt Putt package...cause it was only $1 more. They had two courses.
We played each course....every man for himself. Let's just say I lost...
We also played two round couple against couple. We each won one.
Guess that means we have to have a rematch to have a tie breaker! We had a great time with our buddies!

My New Hobby

I've started something I never thought I'd get into! Yep...Zumba! I've heard all about it. Heard it's a great workout....people love it...it's fun! All positive things. But, I knew it was dancing, mostly, and I just didn't see myself getting into it. However, a friend from church invited me to a class, and I agreed to go. Mostly as moral support for her. I wasn't really looking forward to it. 1 class....that's all it took! Now I'm addicted! I love going! We try to go almost every night....except Wednesday because of church, and Friday because we usually have plans. But I'm loving it. I sweat...a lot! But I feel like I'm actually working out, and I don't hate every second of it. So, that's my new addiction. If you haven't tried it...you should! My mom even goes with me! And if we don't know a move...we just make up our own and laugh at each other! It's fun...try it!

Pool Time

Saturday was a pool day. I have to admit it's been pretty nice to have daddy around more often.
Kaden loves having dad home to play with, and I love the help & adult conversation.
We've also been able to do more family things. Simple things...like go to the pool as a family.
Kaden had so much fun playing with daddy. He thinks he's a big boy and doesn't need help swimming.
But he loved daddy throwing him around and splashing in the water.
He also loved throwing the rings for others to find.
And this little bucket was quite entertaining.
We love pool dates with dad!

We love Splashway!

We went to Splashway yesterday to celebrate our little buddie's 5th birthday.
This was the first time Micah has been able to go with us. We had a great time!
Kaden had so much fun on the "big" slides.
Those big smiles are so sweet!
He spent lots of time trying to "catch" that water. It fascinated him!

Sliding down the slide backwards is his favorite!
And trying to climb back up the slippery slide is also lots of fun!
He was so happy to have daddy there to play with!
Little man LOVES watermelon!

We had a great time celebrating with friends and family! We love you Jarid! Hope you had a great 5th birthday!

Splashing Around...

We had to get outside to play and cool off in the water today. Last night Micah & I had a popsicle for dessert. I would bite off a piece and give it to Kaden. He liked it, so today I thought I'd give him one...since we were outside and he was about to swim. He got excited when he saw it. but he wasn't a fan of holding the cold popsicle. He's not really a fan of cold things. So after a few tastes, he was done and headed for the water.

This is him letting me know he's done, and I can have it. At least he shares! :)
Splashing in the water was lots of fun! I threw in several balls an it made for a great time! I'll let you enjoy all the wet smiles!

Playing at the Park

We went to a park Sunday afternoon. I had discovered a neighboring neighborhood has a splash pad, and we wanted to check it out. However, when got there, we discovered that it wasn't working. I'm not sure if it was just down for maintenance, messed up because of all the rain, or what, but we were a little disappointed. However, there was also a park, so we had some fun while we were there. Mr Kaden loves to swing. He really liked these "big boy" swings. After playing for a while, we went back to our neighborhood pool to cool off. We had a fun little family afternoon. I'll let you enjoy the pics of all his sweet smiles!
