Game Night

Last Saturday night we had game night at our house. About 15-20 teenagers came over to hang out. Although we have tons of games--board, card, Wii, Playstation-- the game of choice for the night, for both girls and boys alike, was Just Dance for Wii. You should have seen those kids getting into it. In fact, at the bottom of this blog is a video of several of the guys having a dance off. It is quite the sight. There was a few other things going on. We grilled burgers & hot dogs; a group of guys hit the basketball court for a game of hoops; and I believe there was a couple of wrestling matches. I was glad that by the end of the night, my house was still standing and actually in pretty decent condition. We had a good time. We're having a Super Bowl party for the kids at our house, and I have already heard rumors that Just Dance is making an appearance as well...

Acquire the Fire

2 weekends ago Micah & I took some of our teenagers to Acquire the Fire, a youth conference held here once a year. We always look forward to going and have a good time with our kids. The Friday night & Saturday is packed full of events...concerts, services, drama, breakout sessions, and breaks for lunch & dinner. It's extremely exhausting and so fun and deep at the same time. I hope our kids enjoyed it and got as much out of it as I did.

Micah & I before one of the sessions began.

How we spent our lunch break. Ordered lots of pizza and watched as Devon created different obstacles to jump over. Some were human, some were not. Luckily, no one was injured!!

Part of our group headed to eat lunch.

New Blog Post

I realize that I have not blogged in quite some time. I'm am just now getting to the point where I'm starting to feel decent. I'm not having 24/7 morning sickness like I was, and I'm able to actually enjoy part of my day. I still move slow, and I'm not at 100%, although I have a feeling I won't be until I have this baby. Usually I do good throughout the day until about 6:00 pm. Then extreme exhaustion and nausea set in, and I'm pretty much done for the night. Medicine still helps a little, but my bed time is 9:00 on the dot. On the weekends, when I try to push myself, I can tell what time it is without a clock. At 9:00, my body is done!!

So, needless to say, I've just been trying to get by. Little things, like blogging, have been pushed to the side. My work day gets most of my energy and attention, and the rest is just survival. The past 2 weeks I've been good, and I've actually been cooking my poor husband dinner. He's been such a trooper the last 5 1/2 months! I would not have survived without him!

So, I just wanted to give everyone an update on my progress, and let you all know I am going to try to pick up blogging again. We'll see how this goes! I have a lot of catching up to do!!
