I have been feeling every bit of being pregnant. I've slept more in the past 10 weeks than I have in my entire life. Not to mention the morning sickness. I don't actually get sick a lot, but I am nauseous all day long. I know it'll be all worth it in 7 months!! We can't wait to meet our baby!

It's A ???
Girl? Boy? We're not sure yet, but we do know that we have one or the other one the way. As of Sunday, I am 10 weeks pregnant. Micah and I took an at-home test about 6 weeks ago. We kept it a secret for 3 weeks until we went to the dr and saw that everything was going well. Then we told our family and close friends. And since then, the word has pretty much got out. We are VERY excited!!!

Roommate Reunion
Every year, Micah & his roommates reunite for a weekend in College Station. The past two years, the spouses have gone as well. We go up on Friday night and stay at Paul's families farm house. We cook out, play games, and catch up on life. Then, on Saturday we hang out, grab some lunch, hit a tent sale, and go to an Aggie football game. We had a great time this year! We love reuniting with our college friends. Cant wait to see the gang again!

Labor Day Weekend
My Labor day has been pretty laborless. (I don't think that's a word, but it works!) It's been relaxing. Full of friends and family, but relaxing non the less. Friday I came home from school and took a nap. Then Friday night we had dinner with my parents at our house. Saturday morning we had a few errands to run and a few things to do, and then, I took a nap. Saturday night, we had friends over for dinner. Sunday, we had church and then went to lunch. And then, you guessed it, I took a nap. After that we went to my parents for dinner. When we got home, Micah painted our living room. I had painted it this bright, blue color over the summer that turned out not as great as I thought it would. We hoped it would grow on us, but it didn't. So last night, Micah repainted. I fell asleep, but he stayed up until 3:30 am painting, and putting everything back together. He wanted me to be surprised when I woke up! He's so great! I wish everyone had a husband as great as mine!!
Today, we're keeping with the theme of the weekend. We're being pretty lazy. I'm going to do some laundry and then possibly...take a nap. Our house needs to be cleaned and the garage does too, but the weather is not pretty, so I'm not sure there will be much working in the garage.
I hope your long weekend was as relaxing as ours!!

OVERTIME!!
Friday night began local high school football. I don't know when the last time I went to a high school football game was. I think it was when my brother played in high school, which was around 4 years ago. We have a couple kids in our youth group that play. And we have a couple girls in the color guard. We had so much fun watching the game. A bunch of our youth group kids sat with us.
#42 is one of our kids!
Watching our flag girls.
Some of our kids.
Bonding time!!
After the game we had our first OVERTIME!! We open up the church after the home games for two hours so the kids can hang out. We have free food, games, and just a fun time! We can't wait for the next one! I hope tons of kids come out!!
Not sure what they're doing!

Storm
Monday night we had a horrible storm that came through. I was on the way to the church when it hit and then at the church the whole time it was raining. When I got home at 7:15, I learned the power was out. Since most of the town was out, we drove to Sugar Land to the mall. Micah needed some new slacks for work, and we were hungry, so we bought some pants and hit the food court. We got home about 9:30 and the power was still out. We new we were going to be in for a long night. We sat outside until 10:30. Right after the storm it was nice and cool with a breeze, but by 10:30 it was just warm and humid. At 11:00 I finally tried to lay down. It was sooooo hot, but we knew we had to try to get some sleep. Poor Micah was wide awake, he could not sleep. At about 2:00, we opened the windows to see if it would help. It didn't!!! We dozed off and on, until the power finally came back on at 3:45. Needless to say, Tuesday morning came very early! I took a few pics of some damage after the storm.
A huge tree branch that almost hit the house across the street from the church. You can also see how full the ditches were.
A picture of a tree that snapped in half in front of our school.
It was laying across the car rider line.
A picture of the sky after the storm.
It was crazy to say the least!! We had another mild storm Tuesday, but it wasn't near as bad for us. I know others lost their power again. Crazy weather and it wasn't even a hurricane!!

School
So, today was the first day of school. I can't believe we're back already. Why is it that the school year always drags, and that summer sure can fly by. Anyhow, it's back!! I'm excited about this year! I'm not gonna lie, I was not as thrilled about starting this year, but I'm trying to stay positive!! I think it's going to be a good year. I've got a new room, new teammates, and new kids!! So, here's to the 2010-2011 school year!! How was your first day back??

Dallas
This past weekend we went to Dallas for a long weekend. It was the last weekend before I had to be back at work, and we wanted to get away one last time. Whenever we go to Dallas we have to fit all of Micah's family and friends in. However, this time, we went up on Thursday night and spent all day Friday together. We started at Six Flags. We were both a little nervous about the heat and crowds, but it turned out to be the perfect day. Other than the fact that it was 105 outside, and I thought I was going to pass out multiple times, it was a great day. We walked right up to every ride. There were NO lines!! It was great!!
It took me until I was probably 13 before I would actually get on a roller coaster ride. Now I like them. However, this one scared me a little...ok, a lot. It was 24 stories high, and you dropped at 85 miles an hour. I hate the "falling" feeling on rides, and this was the worst one ever. But, I still loved it, and I'm glad I rode it!!! I would have regretted not riding it!
After we spent the day at Six Flags, we drove across the street and spent the night at the Ranger's game. It turned out to be a great game, and we won! However, it was really long!! It went into extra innings and ended up lasting over 4 hours. After the fireworks show, we didn't end up leaving until after midnight. But, it was worth it!!
We had a great time together, and it was a great ending to my summer.
Thanks for the trip babe!! I love you!!!

Flower Beds
Micah and I have been redoing our flower beds. And, it's taken us a little longer that we planned. But, I think we're finally done...for now! Here's the progress. Sorry about some of the pics (they were taken on my iPhone.)
These were our beds before we redid them. Pretty plain without any color, and as you can see,
there was nothing around the tree.
After loads of rock and lots of plants...
We have some new flower beds. Unfortunately, these are the pics with the phone. I'll try to get some better ones soon. But, they still look much better!!!

Mission 412
Micah and I took over as youth leaders at our church in January. The name of our youth group is Mission 412. It comes from 1 Timothy 4:12 which says "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." We really encourage our kids to do just that -- live life as an example to others. Micah and I are so proud of them. We've loved getting to know them this summer, and become a part of their lives. Just wanted to show off some of our "kids."

My new Hobby
My best friend had a baby about 9 months ago. I asked her if I could make her a diaper cake. She said yes, and suddenly the pressure was on. But, I had a blast, and I think it turned out pretty great!! The little "candies" are baby wash cloths wrapped in tulle.
Anyway, a good friend at church is having a baby soon, and this past weekend was her shower. So, her daughter asked if I'd make a diaper cake for her, and I went for it. This is how it turned out...
She loved it. So, I'm thinking I've found a new hobby. I don't know that I can quit my day job just yet, but who knows...

Splashway

Yesterday, a few of us brave "moms" loaded up 18 kids & youth from church and took them to Splashway, a small water park close to us. Tuesdays you can get in for about $10. We had a lot of fun, but I am burnt crisp!! I honestly put on sunscreen 3 times, but it did NOT work!!! It was worth it though! Here are some of my favorite shots!!
